Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Found this and it take the RRR to a whole
new level

so I was reading my friends blog "the meanest mom" and found in the comments a real gem. The picture above has the description of
"The Menstrual Militia is now recruiting! Arm yourself with a Tampon Shooter and report for target practice and tactical tampon maneuvers. Safe for indoor or outdoor use, this air-powered gun fires tampons "bullets" up to 20 feet. Our Tampon Bandolier insures that you've always got a supply of ammo at the ready, plus you'll never have to hunt around for a spare tampon in case you really need one"
A tampon shooter, wow.
the website is tamponcrafts.com

Crazy house

So the other day I was feeling that my house
had some issues. Our bedroom and kitchen being
the size of a small box is the biggest problem.
Then I came across this......

it is a museum that was built in Germany.

Simon got rid of his binkies

Simon has just stopped taking naps
on a regular basis so I decided
it was time to get rid of the binkys.
Amy gave me the idea of the
balloons and it was perfect.
I told him that they were going to
go to the babies that needed them.
Charlotte inquired about how they
would get there and not land in the
street. I explained that the balloons
were really smart and they just
knew what babies needed them. She
then told me that they would go to China
because the babies there have no
money and need them. Not sure where
she learned that one.
The kids were super excited
to pick out the balloons and the
people at the craft store attached
all of the binkys for me.

Not sure he really gets what is about to happen here

Feeling sad afterwards.
One last look

Simons worst nightmare

For those of you that know Simon
know that he had an immense fear
of "koosh balls" or sometimes are now
called "hairy balls" but I prefer the
former. Anyway, it used to be that
we couldn't go to anyone's house or
to any store that had koosh balls or
something with a similar texture.
Simon now has no problem with it, I was
concerned for awhile he would be 15
and be hanging out at a friends house, the
koosh ball would come out and he would
run home screaming. I bought this "Koosh
hat" the other day and we put it on
Henry and he doesn't even try to pull
it off.

Taco bell sauce

SERIOUSLY, why does Taco bell put so many sauce packets in your bag? I bought my kids 2 bean burritos the other day and there were 15 sauce packets....really. Who would really put 8 packets of sauce on 1 burrito.

Pimp my ride

My kids are obsessed with our "skoooch". They
are always fighting over who gets to ride it and
for how long. The other day Charlotte "pimped"
it up a little by adding a chair, I guess for "a leisurely
stroll" She would just put her feet down on the
ground to stop.

I reminds me of when I was younger and would
do things that I would never do now....like
riding down the stairs in my sleeping bag

Small dog heat

Last night before I went to bed I went to check
my email and the news. I somehow stumbled
upon this little gem of piece. It is the "small dog heat"
in a surfing contest in California.

Does this dog have on a wig? Really?....not sure
what is going on.

The wipeout. I wonder if humans are allowed
to help take the dogs out and back in or if they
have to "doggy paddle" both ways

I am guessing the dogs think this is totally awesome
and are so glad their owners taught them how
to surf. A couple weeks ago we rented a Scooby
Doo Hawaii movie and in one part Scooby and
Shaggy were surfing and Shaggy says "I have
heard of hanging 10 but Like scoob, your hangin 20"

To my sister Linda...a JK livin update

I found this news update on People.com this morning

"Matthew McConaughey, hopping behind the bar and mixing up a vodka soda at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. When he wasn't playing mixmaster, or talking up his movie Surfer Dude, the actor relaxed in a poolside cabana and hit up the Moonstone Lounge at night. "

I couldn't decide on which MC photo to use, they
were both so hot. I found it appropriate though the
top photo was labeled "shirtless Matthew McConaughey"
as if he sometimes is actually wearing a shirt.

Rootbeer in all forms

Our family loves root beer. That was one hard
part of being in NC is that it wasn't as
available everywhere as it is here in Utah.
Those of you that live or have lived in
Utah know that the key ingredients to
the state are root beer, fry sauce,
ranch dressing and ice cream....very
healthy food. I have often heard people
who don't like root beer say it tastes
like toothpaste. The other day we were at the grocery store
and Charlotte saw this "root beer float"

and felt we needed to have it. They
came in a pack of 4. I am always
happy to experiment with different
types of rootbeer, but this was a little
sketchy. We came home and got out
our special rootbeer glasses, added
ice and took our first and only sip.
This drink is truly hideous to say the
least. The color itself is repulsive.
Even Charlotte and Simon thought
it was disgusting, which is a lot for
children who instantly love anything
with sugar and/or carbonation. In
this case I really don't think they
had anyone taste the drink before
bottling it up.

Henry and his new teeth

Henry finally got his 2 bottom teeth
a couple of weeks ago.

This is him today eating some
cheerios for the first time.

School has begun

Simon started preschool yesterday.
I was so sad because it is the first
time where he will be gone from me
on a consistent basis. He is so full of
anxiety I thought he would explode
but he ran right out of the car into
class. He put his bag on like a cape
and named himself "super Simon"
I explained that it probably isn't safe
because it could choke him and he just
said "why"

Here comes Charlottes bus this
morning. Her school is only 2 hours
on Fridays so I was not really
sad. M-T it isn't even 3 hours.

Forcing a smile......

The bus driver is a little freaky looking but
she was so excited. I followed the bus today
and when she saw me I got a bad look.

Back to School "Fancy" dinner

So my sister Linda and I stole a really cute idea
of having a "back to school" dinner the night
before school starts. I went to the dollar store
yesterday and let Charlotte pick out "Fancy"
glasses and we picked flowers, lit candles and Davey
brought out some classical music to set the mood.
Davey also bought yummy cupcakes & apple berry
champagne(virgin)

Testing out the fancy drink. Charlotte suggested
we do a toast. Not sure where she learned about
that.

Strikin a pose with the crown we made

Charlotte said Davey and I needed
to dress up so I got flowers and wings

ya, he wore this outfit all through dinner, including
the grease stains on his shirt

This is Simon's only dress-up, he loved pulling
out his "tiny ninja" costume.

Afterwards we went on a walk and my neighbor
asked if we went to back to school night....oops.
